VFX Supervisor

VFX Supervisor is responsible for achieving the creative direction of the Director and/or Producers through the use of visual effects. The incumbent is responsible for overseeing the VFX Post Production process and will take on the role of a creative lead, managing a team of artists throughout the entire process, ensuring that good and clear communication occurs at all times between artists, editors and clients. The incumbent will also lead the project from concept through to completion for TVCs.

  • Works closely with film director to develop and interpret their creative vision.
  • Briefs entire crew on director’s creative vision to enable artists to produce desired results.
  • Communicates with production teams.
  • Oversee the progress and outcomes from each department in the production workflow
  • Manage project schedules and the team to ensure work is delivered to meet deadlines.
  • Work together with key stakeholders in Design & Animation and Online artists, to discuss effective ways to proceed with the project according to brief and changes.
  • Responsible for the technical and artistic problem solving for the project assigned.
  • Make informed decisions about the most efficient and effective techniques to solve the problems.
  • Prepare production quote and timeline when required.
  • To stay on schedule and meet deadlines whilst maintaining the highest quality of work.
  • Remains up-to-date in the areas of Videos/ Movie Related Productions

  • Familiar with pipeline issues.

  • Able to multitask in high-pressure environments
  • Highly adaptable to change, feedback and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to make decisions and suggests creative solutions through analyzing situations.
  • Is a highly-organized individual who has strong ability to plan and prioritize work.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Animation, Multimedia or other equivalent major.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in post industry or any other relevant experience in VFX industry.
  • Knows Autodesk Maya, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Nuke and 3DsMax
